Where’s the official server?

We don’t have a Discord at the moment. We’re getting that sorted out legally before we run one again. In the meantime our community lives on Stoat, and there’s a Reddit sub too.

We were also wrongfully terminated from Telegram, and there are no plans to restart a channel there. Anything else claiming to be an official Solara server is not run by us.

How much sUNC / UNC?

59% sUNC, 76% UNC.

Because Solara is external, that ceiling is lower than a paid internal executor’s. Most popular scripts run fine; some will not.

Why is this free?

Solara was pretty much a passion project, so money wasn’t in mind. It’s very easy to bring updates, and keeping Solara running does not cost any money.

There is no monetization at all. The download is one file served straight from this site — no link shorteners, no key system — and you keep the auto-updating software forever.

How do I contact the developer?

Do you collect anything from me?

Not during normal use. Writing scripts, running them, changing your theme: none of that is collected or sent anywhere.

Solara does have protections against malicious scripts and vulnerabilities, and if those trigger we may see a small amount of information so we can patch the problem. The Privacy Policy lists every item, and the list is three lines long.

Where is it safe to download Solara?

Only from getsolara.site. The only original website is getsolara.site — anywhere else offering Solara is a copy, and we have nothing to do with it. The download here is a single file served from this domain, with no shorteners in between.

Reuploads on random sites and YouTube descriptions are the usual way people end up with malware while thinking they installed Solara.
